Fear is actually a useful thing, it helps to keep us safe and away from danger by prompting us to take action and deal with the source of the fear, or remove ourselves from the situation and this is often known as the ‘fight or flight’ response.

However, we can also have fears which are not always useful. Fears of objects or situations which, realistically, are unlikely to harm us. Yet they cause intense feelings of fear and can often lead to a panic attack, or if left to develop, sometimes a phobia. Heights, spiders, needles, flying, visiting the dentist and confined spaces are some of the more common fears and there are many others too.

Because fear is a response which we learn through experience, the good news is that it can be unlearned. By teaching techniques to help you stay calm and in control, hypnotherapy can help you to deal with the cause and become free from fear.

Hypnotherapy can help with a variety of fears and phobias including:

  • Fear of Heights
  • Fear of Flying
  • Fear of Spiders
  • Fear of Needles & Injections
  • Fear of the Dentist
